Why a Friday-to-Monday Porta Potty Rental Costs Less
"I only need it for five hours — why is it here all weekend?" It's the most common question we get. Here's how weekend porta potty rentals actually work, and why the long version is the cheap version.
How do weekend rentals work?
Weekend event units are delivered Thursday or Friday and picked up Monday, and you're billed once for the event. The drop and pickup follow the truck routes, which run on weekdays; the extra days cost you nothing.
Why not pick it up Saturday night?
Weekend pickups need a special crew. Most companies — including us — charge extra for a Saturday or Sunday trip, so a Monday pickup is the cheaper choice even though the unit stays longer.
Is it priced by the hour or the day?
Neither. The truck trips are the cost, so a three-hour party and a three-day rental cost the same. That's why half-day and hourly rentals don't exist.
What if it happens every weekend?
Football on Friday nights, a church on Sundays, a haunted house every weekend in October: switch to a monthly rental. One 28-day price with weekly service beats four separate weekend drop-offs, and you can lock it midweek.
Need a toilet in Bridgeport?
Call before noon and dispatch can usually put you on today's truck. You get the full price — delivery, pickup, fuel, tax — before you pay.
Related questions
If it's dropped Friday and picked up Monday, am I charged for three days?
No. A weekend event is billed as one event. The Friday drop and Monday pickup are how the routes work, not extra days.
Why can't you pick it up Saturday night right after the party?
Weekend pickups need a special crew and cost more. A Monday pickup is included in the price, so most hosts simply leave the unit until then.
Do you do half-day rentals?
No. The price covers delivery, the event and pickup, whether you use it for three hours or three days.
